Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

"Introduced in February of 2008, the Ruana Damascus Hunter is the result of collaboration with Gerome Weinand, a talented Damascus Bladesmith from Missoula, Montana. We originally crafted this knife in 2007 from carbon steel and a slightly different blade grind, with several features we believe make it the ultimate hunting knife design. From our design, Gerome has crafted a beautiful Damascus blade out of 1084 and L 6 carbon steel. The carbon Damascus makes this blade function very much like Ruana blades we have made for years. We?ve put the final touches on the blade and made a handle with the traditional Ruana elk antler. The blade and sheath are adorned with the new Ruana Damascus trademark. The end result is a highly functional, collectible knife, completely handmade in Montana that we will stand behind like all knives that leave our shop."

Ruana Knives are still hand crafted in the small Montana shop where Rudy Ruana began forging out blades over 80 years ago. In an era of outsourcing and diminishing Made in America products, Ruana Knives are still handcrafted in the U. S. A. with an emphasis on quality over quantity. While a few things have changed over the years, we are still using the same methods and much of the same equipment Rudy (our father-in-law/grandfather) used. We like to have fun and enjoy all of the great things living in Montana has to offer. We work hard but also try to not take ourselves too seriously, and run our business with an emphasis on the Golden Rule. We try to give our best effort on a daily basis while maintaining Rudy Ruana’s work ethic and create knives that are usable, durable, and collectible.
