Overview
The most distinctive feature of the Amazonas is the deep blood groove on each side of the blade. The dual thumb ramps are an integral part of the blade and have been checker filed on each side to allow for ambidextrous opening. The grinding of the blades to achieve this effect is a very detailed and arduous process and Ricardo Lala has done an incredible job of crafting the blades and the final knives. Each knife incorporates the Ikoma Korth Bearing System (IKBS) which further enhances the smooth, fast and solid opening and lockup. This Amazonas is a framelock and the first made that features carving work on the frame and clip. The blade spine thickness is 3/16". The frame and clip have an orange peel finish. Blade seating is dead center. Smooth action with a nice detent. Exceptional work. Direct from maker. Serial #049.
