Overview
"The XM-7 Knife has been developed over 4 years of hands on experience and feedback from USMC Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technicians both at home and in multiple combat zones. It provides a solid tool to pry, hammer, chop, probe and stab. The Tanto point allows most of the damage from the abuse of digging to be focused there and leave the main edge for whatever else may arise. The Asymmetrical, chisel style grinding allows for multiple and varied angles of attack when prying in tight quarters.
The G-10 Grip is CNC machined to provide maximum grip, and control, with or without gloves. The G-10 material is virtually impervious to all of the conditions that an operator can survive in. The wrapped construction shields the tang from the elements and minimizes the chances that corrosion is able to build under the handle.
Currently the blades are CPM S30V, commercially heat treated and individually tested to a Rockwell Hardness of 59C. This is subject to change and operator feedback and needs change in different areas of operation." Blade Steel: CPM S30V
