Overview
The Tusk was originally designed by Sal Glesser in the early days of Spyderco as a mariner’s tool. Technology at the time was not available for the visionary concept, but now 25 years later Sal's son Eric Glesser has brought the original Tusk back with some new modern twists.
As a premium mariner's tool, the Tusk is made from all highly rust resistant materials. The blade is LC-200-N, a high nitrogen tool steel alloy, and the marlinspike is 300-series stainless steel. The titanium handle features the Reeve Integral Lock along with a ceramic Ball Bearing Lock for the marlinspike. It has a round-to-square cross section to loosen knots. The marlinspike includes one small sized shackle key in the marlinspike and another larger shackle key created when the marlinspike is closed. Both can effectively manage many different sized and types of shackles. The Spyderco Tusk has a reversible pocket clip and lanyard hole for access.
Comes with original box and papers. Excellent condition.
