Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

Overview

This knife comes from a private collection. Similar to the production FB04, this knife is marked F. Perrin on both the front and pile sides of the tang above the deep choil, which provides excellent index finger placement. The rear of the blade spine and the tang sping are fileworked. While the production model FB04 has synthetic handle, this knife has wood, thought to be Cocobolo, scales. Thong hole and wrist lanyard. Blade has scratches which appear to be mainly from sheath withdrawals. Blade Steel: Believed to be 1095 Carbon Steel

About the Maker

Perrin, Fred

Fred Perrin makes fixed blades and folders of every kind; Forges Damascus steel or uses stock removal techniques. In any case, he always does his own heat treatment and tempering. As far as his background in the martial arts, Fred has spent two years in the French Army Commandos and worked as a bodyguard. He was a national Tae Kwon Do champion and a European full contact stick-fighting champion. He has trained in Kali, and God knows what else. His weapon of choice is the butterfly knife, in which he excels. Aside from being France’s most famous and controversial knife maker and tactical writer, Fred runs a school where he teaches a very unique blend of knife, stick, and empty hand techniques. He is often contracted by France’s elite police units for seminars. He also provides some agencies with custom-made weapons for ballistic testing.
