Overview
This might be the RAREST CQC-6 in existance. First lets start with the specs: Bead blasted chisel ground blade with notched thumbrest and thumbdisc. The handle has bead blasted titanium bolsters, liners and hardware, green canvas micarta scales, black G-10 backspacer and a tip up stonewashed stainless steel clip. Nice detent, lockup and blade seating. Excellent condition. Now, what makes this knife so rare...... for starters this knife is marked "CQC-7", in 1999 Ernie Emerson was having the blades lazer etched with the logo and markings by another company. When he received this knife back (along with 4 others, 5 total) he noticed that they were incorrectly marked. Being so close to the NYCKS (New York Custom Knife Show) he had no choice but to bring them and sell them anyways. This knife has has a secondary bevel instead of a full chisel grind that he does now. This knife is one of 5 CQC-6's like this. I personally called and spoke with an Emerson Rep. and sent pictures, Ernie himself saw the pictures and confirmed this story. RARE!
