About the Maker
Olsen Knives (OK)
Olsen OK Knives were located in Howard City, Michigan during the 1950s and 1970s. They specialized in making high-quality, fixed-blade hunting knives. The company was founded by Lee Olsen Jr. Most of their fixed-blade knives were marked with the inscription “Olsen OK H.C. MI”, and the blades featured a curved spine and brass guard1. After 1970, they contracted their knives from Solingen, Germany, and unfortunately, they went out of business around 1980. From 1982 to 1985, a group in Grand Rapids, Michigan used the Olsen Knife Company trademark on hunting knives.
