Overview
Note from seller:"I first discovered Suchat Jangtanong's work a few years back. My first impression was that it looked great, but I was hesitant to buy knives from an unfamiliar knifemaker that lived overseas. I later saw his work in person at a show and it was so beautiful and reasonably priced that I took a gamble and purchased two of his knives. I randomly sent them to a couple renowned makers who make knives for me and requested a complete evaluation. They both concurred that the work was beautiful, the materials were top quality and that the fit and finish was as professional as you get. They had no idea who the maker was, and I did not tell them, but both guessed the knives to be very expensive.
Suchat has been making knives since 1982 but his knives were sold abroad and only a few made their way to the USA. Now, for well over a year he has been making me knives and each is extraordinary. His designs are so varied, unique and artfully blended that they immediately capture your attention. Each folder he makes is patiently and meticulously crafted. Suchat also has a specially designed assisted opening mechanism that is present on many of his folders."
This knife is marked "KJ", and is from a special run of knives that were named after knifemaker Suchat Jangtanong's son, Keaitisak Jangtanong.
