Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

Overview

This is a large, powerful sub-hilt fighter from the late W.W. Cronk. The spine at the forward double hilt is 3/8 inch thick, a trademark of Mr. Cronk. The top edge is sharpened approximately 3 1/2" back from the tip. The gray matte coating on the blade provides a non-reflective surface. Mr. Cronk used 440C, D-2 and 154CM steels during his career and the specific steel for this blade is unknown. The hilt, sub-hilt and buttcap are non-magnetic, leading us to believe these areas are of brushed titanium. The handle grip is firm due to the ribbed rubberized o-rings used. The buttcap has a thong hole. The blade depth is 1 5/8". An extremely rare and remarkable knife.

About the Maker

Cronk, W. W.

Bill Cronk made knives from 1963 until his death in 1983, and is considered to be one of the pioneers of custom knifemaking. His early knives were hunter, skinner, Bowie, fighter and similar patterns. Later in his career he expanded his creations to include knives of more unusual and diverse designs. His early catalogs emphasized that his knives were entirely handmade and hand finished by him alone. Namesake of the prestigious "W.W. Cronk Award" which is awarded annually at the Knifemakers' Guild Show for the knife voted best of show.
