"I have been collecting knives and practicing martial arts like Aikedo, Muay Thai, Amok, and knife fighting since I was 15 years old. This experience has given me the knowledge to make my fighting and hunting knife designs. My brand name "Yuna", which is the combination of my nickname "Yun" and my wife's name "Na"; who supports and encourages me to be a professional knifemaker, and also loves the art form. When I design my custom knives, the function always comes first. The aesthetic consideration and decoration elements normally come by themselves as part of the creative flow. In 2004 I attended a knife show in U.S.A. I was awarded the best custom folder at NKCA (National Knife Collector Association) fall knife show in Louisville, Kentucky. Now, the custom knife has become an important part of my daily life. I take the designs I make seriously and am committed to excellence in the completed designs I create."
