Overview
This knife titled "Red Coral" by Thomas Lofgren features a San Mai Damascus blade with etched bats, fileworked spine and false top edge, .158" blade stock and .962" blade depth, hidden tang construction. The handle has a fluted dyed maple burl wood guard, dyed and stabilized burl wood grip, and black/silver/fluted red coral spacers. Comes with a Scandinavian style brown leather sheath and nylon zippered case. New from maker!
Blade: The steel is a carbon steel forged by the Swedish bladesmith Magnus Jönsson. Blade designed and ground by Thomas Some bats are engraved by acid on both sides.
Handle: The knife is a small utility made of some beautiful materials. The handle has two pieces of wood and one piece of fossil stabilized coral. The wood is stabilized Linden burl. Between the pieces in handle there are one slice of thin and two slices of vulcanized fiber. These spacers are filed down as decoration’s The wood and the coral has also got some deep filings.
Sheath: The knife comes with a sheath in traditional Nordic style. The sheath is decorated with some painted bats. The sheath is colored with air brush in brown and black colors.
