Layaway Information

Layaway Policies

We offer a layaway plan on select products so you may pay for your order over a period of 60 days. Products that are eligible for layaway will show "Layaway Available: Yes" on the product page.

Here's how it works:

The total amount of the order excluding shipping, tax, or fees is divided into three (3) equal payments. The first payment is due with the order, the second payment is due 30 days later, and the final payment is due 60 days after the order.

There is a $15 non-refundable fee for layaway orders. This fee is added to the first payment along with the shipping and any tax. The first payment is made when the order is placed.

Example: Your order total is $300 plus $12.75 shipping and handling. If you select the layaway option, your payments would be:

  • $127.75 (1/3 of purchase = $100 + $15 layaway fee + $12.75 shipping)
  • $100.00 (1/3 of purchase = $100)
  • $100.00 (1/3 of purchase = $100)

If your initial payment is made by credit card, we will automatically process the 2nd and 3rd payments at the appropriate time using the same credit card information. You will be reminded via email that a payment will be charged. If you need to change this for any reason, please contact us.

For payments made other than credit card, payment must be received within seven (7) days of the due date or the order is subject to cancellation. You will receive a reminder via email that a payment is due.

If you wish to complete payment early and have your order shipped, you may contact us at any time during the 60 day period. There is no penalty for prepayment.

Additional products may be added to a layaway order without penalty. A new payment schedule will be calculated based on when additional products are added.

If you wish to complete payment early and have your order shipped, you may contact us at any time during the 60 day period. There is no penalty for early payment.

Cancellations of layaway orders are subject to a restocking/processing fee of 10% of the order total (not including tax and shipping costs). This restocking fee is in addition to the $15 non-refundable layaway fee.

ABOUT THE BLOOD MOON AXE:

"El Diablo" is as nasty as its name. The damascus was finished with a vintage etch and finish. This axe features our signature rippled damascus pattern. The solid hickory handle has our diablo stain that is a perfect fit for the nasty beast himself. All of our damascus steel is forged in house, here in Idaho, and is forged from 1080 and 15N20. This axe features around 185 layers. The damascus head features our chipped texture which makes each axe head completely unique. The leather blade cover is made from 8oz, black english bridle leather that comes from Wickett & Craig USA. The sheath features a black snap for a secure closer. The unique upsweep of this axe gives it a very unique and medieval feel.

About the Maker

Schenk Knives

Schenk Knives was founded in 1965 by Norman F. Schenk, in a small lapidary shop in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Having no experience or formal training, Norm learned by doing. His first custom knives were a bit rough, but Norm continued to create custom knives and eventually taught knife making at the university level. In 1991 Norm founded Two Finger Knife as a dedicated Damascus steel forging, blade making, and OEM (original equipment manufacturer) production shop, staffed by custom knife makers and free hand blade grinders. After years of making custom knives, blades, and finished production knives for some of the country’s most well-respected knife companies, it was time to make a change. Norm wanted to raise the bar, and brought in his son Zane to expand the OEM and custom knife business. Schenk Knives continued to operate as a custom knife shop, and in 2012 designed their own line of high-performance knives that were marketed to a local and online customer base. For 55 years, professional guides, survivalists, polar expeditions, military personnel, and all those who expect the best performance possible from their knives have turned to Schenk Knives. Customers worldwide rely on Schenk Knives to provide custom quality in a factory knife, fair pricing, high performance, and integrity in workmanship and customer service. Our customers continued satisfaction is a testament to the dedication and hard work Schenk Knives puts into every knife.
