Description
Mr. Fumio Inagaki is a custom knifemaker in Seki, and my longtime friend since he was working for Master Seizo Imai 30 years ago. After opening his own workshop, he is aggressively attending many knife shows in Japan with his unique hand-made knives from miniature knives to large Bowie type knives. Mr. Inagaki's Knife is tough and wild as same as his personal characteristics!
At Seki Knife show in October, 2023, Mr. Inagaki has obtained a small blank of rare ZDP-189 Damascus steel from the knifemaker. Hitach has quit making it a few years ago, so this was a hard-to-get last one. Finally, he came up with 5 different knives using the steel blank, and we are pleased to offer you a last chance to buy a Damascus version of the Hitachi ZDP-189 Premium powdered Hi-speed Tool steel, that is extremely sharp and longer cutting performance with a very high carbon (3.0%) and high chromium (20.0%) in Rockwell hardness HRc. 65+.
