Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.
For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

This Doctor's Knife Mike Alsdorf features a mirror finished drop point blade with swedge and nail nick. The handle has nickel silver bolsters with integral liners with engraving on the edges, bone covers with a nickel silver escutcheon, stainless steel spring. Has half-stop, flush in all positions. Includes leather slip pouch. Excellent condition. Dated 2006.

At times it is hard to obtain folders from makers that I like (because they are in such demand) so a few years ago decided to try and make a slipjoint since I have a machinist background. It was a lot of work but with the help of some makers that were very helpful in answering my questions about the proper way to build and finish a slipjoint I finally figured it out. A few of the many are Elvan Allred, Paul Myers, Jim Harrison (Seamus), Chuck Hawes, Jim Krause. I am a full time maker. I use the stock removal method and all my work is sole authorship (I do all work in my shop including heat treating, engraving and embellishments). Blade steels I use are 440C and CPM154. Bolsters and Liners are Integral and made from hardened 416 S.S.. I also use hardened 416 S.S. for my Interframes. I prefer to use natural materials for Handles and Inlays such as Pearls, Smooth and Jig Bone, Stag, Ironwood, etc."
