Note from the maker:

That particular folder was a unique 7/8th size special-run series that I made back in 2008. It had the same design styling as the original military version Cruiser folder but just slightly smaller in size. The ‘SMD’ earmark (special military designation) that I engraved on those seven pieces helped to identify their uniqueness from the rest of the Cruiser series. The steel that I utilized in those was the CPM S60V stainless, often described as ‘the forgotten super steel’. Those are the only knives that I recall ever using that steel on. So that is a unique piece in the Cruiser lineage.
