Overview
These are RARE vintage Valor throwing stars, hand made in Seki, Japan by Tak Fukuta in the 1980s. Many consider this the finest throwing star made in that era. Comes in the original cardboard sleeves, this star measures a hefty 1/8" thick x 3 5/8" in. Made of blued Carbon Steel and hand finished to a sharp edge, back side is stamped "Ninja". All have scratches and some light oxidation, otherwise good condition for their age. Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others.
