Over the years, he has created over 7,000 knives, showcasing his expertise and commitment to the craft. • Entrepreneurial Vision: The purpose of the Entrek USA line is to make high-quality custom knives accessible to the public at a more affordable price point. To achieve this, Ray blends cutting-edge technologies with traditional skilled craftsmanship. • Knife Materials: o Blades: All Entrek USA knives are crafted from 440C Stainless Steel. This steel is heat-treated, sub-zero stabilized, and double drawn to achieve a hardness of 57-58 RC. This combination ensures a balance of toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. o Handles: The handles feature black canvas micarta, sourced from a single supplier to maintain consistent color. Black canvas micarta not only looks great but also provides excellent grip and durability. It’s resistant to heat, cold, oil, water, and other environmental factors. • Sheaths: The sheaths for Entrek USA knives continue to evolve. They are made from black Kydex material. Depending on the knife model, the sheath may have a belt loop or a belt clip, along with black eyelets for lashing to gear if desired.
