About the Maker

Riverborn Knives

"We make custom fixed blade knives for 18th and 19th century reenactors. We are a father-son team of bladesmiths who craft blades side-by-side. Robert Insco (the father), built his first log cabin at the age of 12, with a hatchet he forged himself. Tanner Insco (the son): Started making knives via stock removal method in 2016 and eventualy evolved into bladesmithing in 2019. He creates hard working knives that are not scared of geting dirty or scrached. He started out making modern knives and over time, and persuasion from bladesmithing friends, switched to the Woodbury and 18th century styling."
