Overview
Shirogorov Knives is the company that put Russia on the map of knife collectors worldwide. They are known for their impeccable, lightning-fast action and clean designs. In just over 10 years they went from making knives in their garage to winning the Best Tactical Folder award at BLADE Show, maybe THE most prestigious in our industry. The company is obsessed with quality, and this dedication is reflected in every piece that comes out of their workshop in Yaroslavl.
The original Quantum model has been released in 2019, and Quantum Gen 2 was made available in 2021. Now, Shirogorov Knives are offering a more budget-friendly version of one of their premiere and immediately recognizable folders.
This knife is meant to be a workhorse. Compared to Quantum Gen 1, the blade has been slimmed down to 0.134" in thickness and no longer has a fuller, which makes it more practical and easier to clean. The slight upsweep of the blade transitions into a very ergonomic handle, which has black/orange Micarta inlays in this KnifeCenter Exclusive model. The Quantum Ursus NL also features a Cromax PM stainless blade, a lockbar insert, a sculpted and milled pocket clip, and a lanyard hole on the presentation scale.
