Custom forged and historically-accurate reproduction of the first James (Jim) Bowie knife used at the Vidalia Sandbar Fight/Duel on September 19, 1827, near Natchez, Mississippi. The original used by Jim Bowie was forged by blacksmith Jesse Clifft at brother Rezin Bowie's request. Rezin Bowie later described the knife as a 9-1/4" long, 1/4" thick, 1-1/2" wide. Witnesses to the fight described it as "a large butcher knife", having no clip-point, a straight back, no hand guard and with a simple riveted wood scale handle.
