Overview
The Mini Slim Pickins is the second in-house design to come from Alliance Designs. When they first set out to create the original Slim Pickins in 2018, the goal was to build a beautiful, well-made and functional folding knife that was also satisfying to fidget with. It was a hit, melding a utilitarian and effective design with a unique style that many gravitated toward.
We believe that this latest version still checks all those same boxes, with an added dash of innovation. The Mini will come with lightening pockets on the inside of the handles for weight reduction and an auxiliary detent that holds the blade in the closed position even while the button lock is depressed. This not only improves the action but also reduces the chance of accidental deployment.
The blade still features a deep hollow grind, but this time Alliance went with Elmax for its impressive durability, high compressive strength, and superior corrosion resistance. The Mini Slim Pickins is perfectly sized for everyday carry with a stout build and excellent ergonomics. The bolstered Micarta Edition is paired with two handsomely contoured scales of OD green Micarta and solid bronze pivot collars.
