ASANO CLAN 47 RONIN MOVIE SWORD (47R001) MASTER CUTLERY
Replicated from the 47 Ronin movie prop, this battle ready katana is an exact replica of the sword used and wielded by the outcasted, vengeful samurai in the Dec. 2013 movie release of 47 Ronin, starring Keanu Reeves as Kai, and Hiroyuki Sanada as Master Oishi. Each fully functional Asano Clan Katana is an officially licensed product and is a limited edition of only 2,000 distributed worldwide. The blade is hand forged 1045 carbon steel, full tang, and comes fully sharpened. The tsuba, fuchi and kashira hilt fittings are of darkened, antique-finished steel and bears the Asano Clan crossed hawk feather "Banshu takanoha" Kamon. The grip of wood is wrapped in white rayskin and overlaid with tightly knotted black cord. The wooden Saya scabbard is finished with red and black speckled lacquer accents also bearing the "Banshu takanoha" Kamon. It comes with a knotted black sageo cord. Each 47 Ronin movie sword has the production number of the sword is etched onto the blade on a single side and comes with a matching numbered certificate of authenticity. A black sword bag is also included.
These officially licensed 47 Ronin swords are exact replicas of those seen in the movie of the same name. They have not only been reproduced in look, but also in functionality, as each sword is of full tang construction, with sharpened carbon steel blades, making them not only beautiful for display but fully functional battle ready swords as well!
