Note from Huxley Walters:
This is an exceptionally limited production knife! There were, only, four or five examples made and the model was never intended for standard production. The knife was made, specifically, for the noted shooting / big game writer Elmer Keith.
Sam Arnett, president of Ralph Bone Knife Co, was a hunting companion of the prominent sports / shooting writer, Elmer Keith. On a hunting trip, Keith asked Arnett to have Ralph Bone make for him his ideal vision of a big game skinning / caping knife. Both Ralph Bone and Enedino De Leon made up exceptionally limited examples (only four or five) of the knife that Keith described. Keith was delighted with his gift from Arnett. Both Bone and De Leon thought the knife design was a joke! Consequently, due to the makers' low regard for the design, the knife, never, was destined to be a standard production offering.
However, for a devout Ralph Bone knife collector, this Model K is a must have, an exceptionally limited example, with, only, four or five examples ever made!
