Overview
Mr. Fumio Inagaki is a custom knifemaker in Seki, and my longtime friend since he was working for Master Seizo Imai 30 years ago. After opening his own workshop, he is aggressively attending many knife shows in Japan with his unique hand-made knives from miniature knives to large Bowie type knives. Mr. Inagaki's Knife is tough and wild as same as his personal characteristics!
Cowry X Liner Lock Folder. We have introduced his Cowry-X folder last year and instantly sold. He had two more Cowry-X blades and came up with different combination handle and bolster. The Cowry-X is a premium powdered high-speed tool steel with a very high carbon (3.0%) and high chromium (20.0%), and is very expensive and difficult to get and work, so he says these two will be the last ones.
This is a rare Cowry-X blade Folder of 3 inch Drop-point Mirror polished Hamaguri-ba (Convex) blade with thumb stud, 4-1/2" Ironwood Burl handle with Mokume Damascus (layers of Copper and Nickel) bolster. Stainless steel pivot and screws and Stainless steel liners. Rugged and Beautiful Folders!
