1998-2002 (unable to pinpoint exactly) Emerson CQC-10 PROTOTYPE. This knife was hand built by Ernest Emerson himself.
Please read below for the history of the collaboration of this PROTOTYPE.
This Came From Emerson’s Lost & Found Vault And Was Purchased From Area 51.
As I Understand It, Heckler & Koch Approached Ernie And Gave A General Idea Of What They Wanted And Ernie Took Over From There. All Of The Heckler & Koch Models Have Black Blades, And All Were Serrated. I’ve Been Unable To Pinpoint How Many Were Produced For Heckler & Koch, So I’m Going To Guess 300 To 500.
The Blade Is Not Marked PROTOTYPE, And Has No Inscription Of CQC-10 Under The Left Of The Logo…It’s Blank. The Emerson Invoice Clearly States CQC-10 H&K Prototype. This Was The Birth Of The CQC-10. I Believe Ernie Made Two Prototypes, With One Given To Someone With Heckler & Koch, And This One. The One Given To Heckler & Koch Has Never Surfaced To My Knowledge.
The knife will ship with a Gray Precision Monster Thumb Disc and an Emerson American Flag pocket clip.
The original thumb disc, pocket clip, Emerson box, and Emerson invoice is included.
