Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

Overview

Each Ruana blade is made from high carbon steel that is hammer forged, hollow ground, individually oil quenched, and heat treated using a zone tempering method that makes the spine of the blade a little softer than the cutting edge. All Ruana knives are made from tough cast aluminum handles with elk antler inserts and come with a high quality leather sheath. Satin finished blade with notched thumbrest, .170" blade stock and 1.199" blade depth, hidden tang construction. Excellent condition.

Ruana Knives are still hand crafted in the small Montana shop where Rudy Ruana began forging out blades over 80 years ago. In an era of outsourcing and diminishing Made in America products, Ruana Knives are still handcrafted in the U. S. A. with an emphasis on quality over quantity. While a few things have changed over the years, we are still using the same methods and much of the same equipment Rudy (our father-in-law/grandfather) used. We like to have fun and enjoy all of the great things living in Montana has to offer. We work hard but also try to not take ourselves too seriously, and run our business with an emphasis on the Golden Rule. We try to give our best effort on a daily basis while maintaining Rudy Ruana’s work ethic and create knives that are usable, durable, and collectible.
