Ball became recognised around the world for setting the official railroad standard of timekeeping which greatly influenced the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute, or COSC, that sets the standard for current mechanical watch accuracy today. This Ball Engineer II Ohio 40mm watch is one of their most practical and sophisticated timepieces that reflects the extensive and experienced heritage of the brand.
The Ball Engineer II Ohio Black Ref. NM2026C-S5J-BK watch boasts an impressive 40mm stainless steel case embracing the automatic calibre BALL RR1102 movement that promises a shock resistance of 5,000Gs and a water resistance of 100 metres. Housed within the scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass is a beautiful black dial with applied index for a classy looks. With a total of 15 micro gas tubes on dial, hour, minute and second hands. These markers are made of 1mm thick green micro gas tubes that will glow in the dark for up to 25 years without requiring any recharge. To complete the timepiece, a stainless steel bracelet is added alongside a folding clasp.
