About the Maker

Hel, Ostap

I'm knifemaker and designer. My first knife I've made in 2009 in my fathers workshop, since then It's became my passion and main hobby. After graduating an university (law) I've started my own buisness and became full time knifemaker. Beside knifemaking I sometimes do gadgets (knucks e.g.) or jewelery (rings).

As a knife designer I've collaborated with many local and foreign makers. In the end of 2015 Michael Zieba (NYC) made my first folding knife collaboration (series of Gentleman Linerlock and Framelock based on my designs) also in the same year I've started collaborations with Real Steel Knives which made first production knives based on my design (model AlieNeck Utility/Hawkbill) and currently we are working on other collaborations.
