Overview
Kingdom Armory Mini Rogue Bolsterlock Folder
We are excited to relaunch the production mini-Rogue! An EDC-sized shrunken-down version of the previously released bench series Rogue Framelocks. Like those, also made 100% in-house at Chad Nichols's shop in Blue Springs Mississippi, USA. Each is then shipped up to Oregon where it is tuned and sharpened by Dave in the New KA location.
Construction on these folders is something unique to the production game! Everybody makes a 6al4V titanium frame lock, but these bad boys are built as Bolsterlocks! A milled pocket is recessed into the frame and bifurcating the pivot screw. (finally got a chance to use that word!) Peel textured g10 is then machined to fit into that pocket and on the lock side, does double duty as an overtravel stop/lock stabilizing element. Not only cool and unique looking but a mechanically functional part of this knife's build.
Other elements you won't often see in other contemporary production folders are both a solid Ti backspacer and a one-piece billet milled Ti clip, also mounted into a recessed pocket for strength.
Overbuilt as a point of personal ethos, the mini-Rogue is at the same time elegant and purpose-driven to functional utility. A 3" blade makes this folder 50-state US legal, and having been made from CTS-XHP the blade steel is extremely corrosion-resistant with high edge retention and durability. The high flat grind, machine ground by Larkin is a very utilitarian and everyday useful grind. Additionally, drop belly increases the actual cutting edge and serves to create a blade that is extremely useful for just about anything you can imagine. And as the Rogue has become known, that mid-blade oval opening slot allows for both traditional thumb opening and middle finger flicking. A design made to fly the bird! Uniquely Rogue and named accordingly!
