Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

Spyderco Native 5 C41PBOR5 - DLC Black CPM-S90V Blade - Orange FRN Handle
 

Our longtime customers and collectors know we have a "thing" for orange, which is an addiction that many of our customers seem to share. This latest Cutlery Shoppe exclusive, our first on the Native platform, is the result of many customer requests.

Blade deployment is super fast thanks to Spyderco’s signature Trademark Round Hole™ for easy, ambidextrous, one-handed opening. The Native 5 Lightweight features an FFG (full flat grind) blade crafted from premium CPM S90V stainless steel with a durable, non-reflective Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating. This advanced particle metallurgy steel is enriched with a high vanadium content to promote the formation of hard vanadium carbides instead of chromium carbides. Explained more plainly, this enhances the steel’s wear resistance and edge retention, while also providing superior corrosion resistance.

Since first introduced in 1997, the Native has been a mainstay of the Spyderco product line and a flagship of their American-made stable of knives. The design has evolved steadily over the years, reaching its current state of the art in 2012 with the release of the Native 5. The latest addition to the Native lineage is the Native5 Lightweight, which combines the Native5’s engineering refinements with the weight-saving advantages of an injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle. The linerless FRN handle features Bi-Directional Texturing™ for an ultra-secure grip and reduces the overall weight of the knife to a scant 2.4 ounces. The handle also houses four sets of threaded inserts molded directly into the FRN. These allow the improved hourglass clip to be positioned for left or right-side tip-up or tip-down carry. A generously sized lanyard hole also provides a handy attachment point for lanyards, fobs, and safety lines.
