Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

Overview

This Custom Order Model 6 Hunter by Ron Gaston features a hand rubbed satin finish blade with .184" blade stock and 1.050" blade depth, full tapered tang construction. The handle has a stainless steel dovetailed bolsters, buffalo horn scales. Comes with a black leather sheath, not original, but this knife did not come with a sheath and this sheath fits perfect. Excellent condition. Comes with all the correspondence between Ron and the original owner, original makers brochure, even the final scales receipt and the cashed check. Excellent condition.

About the Maker

Gaston, Ron

Ron Gaston was one of the most prolific makers of custom knives, and a long time member of the Knife Makers Guild. He was one of the pioneers of the modern custom knife movement. He sold his first knife in 1980. His knives have been featured in all the major knife magazines and sold around the world. Ron's specialty during his knifemaking career was fixed blade knives. He was well liked and appreciated throughout the knife community. Ron passed away in 2006. Inducted into The ABS Bladesmithing Hall of Fame in 2021.
