This "Ralph Bone" Model A was made by Charles Hipp (not Ralph Bone) in 1981, seven years after Ralph Bone left the Ralph Bone Knife Company and five years after Hipp purchased the company and Enedino De Leon began teaching Hipp what Hipp learned about knife making. The stamp on the knife was devised by Hipp, replacing the original registered trademarks (2) of the company. Hipp, also, changed the name of the company to "The Bone Knife Company".
