Overview
This Yakut Knife blade from Markin Aleksey of Heritage Blades features a mirror polished chisel ground blade with hammer marked fuller on the b-side, .152" blade stock and 1.114" blade depth, hidden tang construction. The handle is comprised of brass guard and resin and curly birch burl grip with a lanyard hole in pommel. Includes leather sheath. Excellent condition.
The Yakut Knife is used by the indigenous people of Yakutia. It is intended for everyday use in hunting, skinning and dressing the kill. The knife blade carries blacksmithing marks which also act as a fuller.
