Leaton, Nathan
My love for knives started when I was about 5 years old. My dad had built a home made gold dredge and took myself and my brother and sister to a creek in the mountains of Southern Oregon. And that is where I found my first knife. A rusty Old Timer pocket knife half buried in the gravel bar. From that point on I was fascinated with anything that goes cut. By the time the 90's rolled around I started dabbling with re-handling old blades, restoring blades that had seen hard use, etc... From there I graduated to hand forging a few a few blades for myself and making swords and knives from any materials I could gather. Being an artist first and foremost gave me experience with many mediums, including jewelry making, that I began to include in knife making. My particular style stems from a longing for days gone by when men built things to last through the ages as a testament to their craft. A testament to the intricacy and grace long forgotten by modern societal needs. I hope you enjoy the finished product as much as I enjoy bringing it to you. As any knife maker will tell you, whether a novice or a master craftsman, it is truly a labor of love.
I have developed a style and system over the years that allows all of my knives to be to taken down to a bare blade for restoration or repairs without damage to the integrity of the knife in any way and I do offer a lifetime guarantee on all of my work. If you have any questions or concerns contact me any time.
