Guething Knives

I make everything myself in my garage in Denver, CO. I have been a collector of knives and tools for a long time which is how my passion for knifemaking and machining started. I made my first knife in Nick Swan's shop in 2018. I decided to start making knives in 2019 when I bought a grinder from Travis Weurtz at the USN Gathering in Vegas. My machining journey started in 2022 when my CNC machine was delivered and has resulted in me producing a larger variety of products than just knives. I primarily design in Fusion360, and employ many different methods to make my chit. I have been fortunate in having a lot of mentors and friends teach me many things. My biggest inspirations come from Gerry McGinnis, Tom Krein, and Zach Wood. There is also a significant influence that comes from the circle of Colorado makers that surround me (Nick Swan, Brian Efros, eLM Knives, Donnie Starko, and more friends). I could probably continue on a long list but leaving out someone who has impacted me is inevitable. The list of folks who have helped my journey is numerous and I simply would not be here without the community.
