My name is Jacob Blackman, I discovered bladesmithing when I was 15 years old. I had previously had an interest in knives and using my hands to make what ever my heart desired, but had never even considered putting the two together. It was at this point that I decided to attempt to make my first blade. With school and other recreational activities, it ended up taking me roughly a year to complete my first handmade camp knife. This blade is likely the worst thing I have ever made but I used it to teach myself how to get better and I haven't stopped improving since.
