The Baldy Mountain Forge Series of Knives are a result of 27 years of knife making experience and 24 years of guiding hunters in Montana's wilderness areas. This experience has allowed me to test most of the popular blade steels. Field use keeps bringing me back to 52100 as my steel of choice. No other steel that I have used combines the edge holding and toughness of 52100 with its ease of sharpening.All of the blades are flat ground and Scotch Brite finished to provide proper edge geometry and a durable field grade finish. The handles are G10 or carbon fiber for durability and light weight. Each knife comes with a handmade leather sheath.Designed to be all you'll need in the field, the Baldy Mountain Forge series of knives have been field tested extensively by professional guides.
