McNabb, Russell Brian
"I am a second generation knife maker and hand engraver. My dad taught me everything I know about making knives and got me started on my hand engraving journey. I made my first knife in 2006 and started hand engraving in 2018. I free hand hollow grind most of the knives I create, but will occasionally do flat grinding as well. I hand engrave deep relief ornamental scroll work on all the knives I produce and will usually include gold/fine silver inlays in my work. I prefer to use natural material for my knife handles which include giraffe leg bone, sambar stag, desert ironwood, sheep horn, and mammoth ivory. My steel of choice is CPM154, 440c, & D2, and I hand stitch all of my leather sheaths."
