Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

David L. Hughes, also known as B.R. Hughes, is a renowned figure in the world of knives. He began his career as a gun writer in the late 1950s, and his knife writing started in 1960 for publications such as Guns, Gunsport, and Gun World1. He authored the first book devoted entirely to handmade cutlery, “American Handmade Knives of Today,” in 19721. His contributions to the knife industry have been significant, and he has been inducted into the BLADE Magazine Cutlery Hall of Fame. This honor is given to individuals who demonstrate exceptional contributions to the world of knives B.R. Hughes, from Texarkana, TX, has had a long and influential career in the world of knives. Even as a child, he had a keen interest in guns and knives. His career as a gun writer began in the late 1950s, and he started writing about knives in 1960 for publications such as Guns, Gunsport, and Gun World. Hughes is known for authoring the first book devoted entirely to handmade cutlery, “American Handmade Knives of Today”, in 1972. He has also been recognized as a Cutlery Hall-Of-Famer. He was introduced to the great bladesmith Bill Moran through Ken Warner, and he met Bob Loveless, another renowned knifemaker, through A.G. Russell.
