My name is Jacco Van de Bruinhorst. I specialize in making only the highest quality knives. Our little shop is situated in the heart of tobacco country in Southeastern Ontario, Canada. My Wife Martina and I are a team in JVB Knives, and together we work to bring you the best knives. We have shifted our gears from small-batch production, to specialized One-of-a-Kind custom knives. I have begun to specialize in high-end mosaic pattern Damascus, creating Damascus patterns that will blow your mind. We only use the highest quality German steels for our blades, and we stand behind our work. We are confident that you will love what we do. My family holds a rich heritage of iron and steel work. We immigrated from the Netherlands to Canada in the year 2000. Before that, both my parents worked as ornamental iron fence fabricators. That is where my interests have derived from. From an early age I watched, as my dad was fabricating beautiful, ornamental work. My lineage can be traced back to the early Scandinavian Vikings. Steel runs through my blood!! That's why I became a bladesmith and knifemaker.
