Overview
"The Roach Belly design is based on a knife that first appeared in 17th century England. The name comes from the cutting edge sweep resembling a carp family fish, the Roach Fish, popular in the UK and on the continent. Like most of the pre-twentieth century knives, the Roach Belly was as useful in the kitchen as it was skinning a deer. The thin blade, long belly sweep and fine point made it a fine all around cutting/slicing knife."Features a satin finish blade, copper bolsters and trim, and kingwood scales. The blade is flat ground and convex edged. Cryogenic Heat treatment by D'Alton Holder. 1/8" blade thickness and 1 1/4" blade depth. Full tang construction. Very nice work. Brand new from maker.
