Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

Overview

This Friction Folder by Kenneth Hills features a satin finished blade with "Vine and Thorns" fileworked spine. The handle has ironwood bolsters and butt that came from an 1800's park bench, mammoth ivory scales and stainless steel liners, brass coated steel pivot. Has detents in the open and closed positions, but does not lock. New from maker.

About the Maker

Hills, Kenneth

"My name is Kenneth Hills and I have been creating custom knives for over 16 years. I am self taught in this discipline however, it is an extension of my lapidary and gold and silver jewelry making which I did years ago. Same skill set different materials. As a result I am always challenging myself with more and more exotic handle materials some which can only be worked with diamond saws and belts. I only use high end stainless steels mostly CPM steels, 154, S30 and 35-VN some AEB-L. All fittings are either stainless, brass or bronze. I control the making of the knife from raw materials through the heat treat, the final assembly and polishing. All my work is done in house. File work on the spine of the knives is a specialty of mine and can be found on most of my knifes."
