Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

Overview

This bowie by Gemstone Carver LLC is built on a Russell Green River 6" bowie blade, hand forged carbon steel, clip point blade with .149" blade stock and 1.140" blade depth, full tang contstruction. The handle has a hammered brass guard and butt with hand cut and hand polished Lapis Lazuli scales from Afghanistan. The stone has been ground polished by 3 grinding wheels and 6 polishing wheels from 80 grit to 50,000 grit. This knife is handmade and is intended to have a primitive feel. New from maker.

Our hand carved gemstone handled hunting knives are not only beautiful but also usable. We hand carve rough gemstones into knife handles and attach the handles onto various styles of stainless steel hunting knives. Check out a few pictures of some of the knives we have completed, as well as pictures of some rough gemstone slabs that are available to choose from for a custom made gemstone handled knife. If there is a particular stone that you like and do not see here, ask us about it and we will try to find it for you. If you already have a knife and would like a particular gemstone handle put on it, contact us and we can determine if the handle can be changed. We have also made gemstone 1911 gun grips. We have included pictures of grips made out of Biggs Jasper, Jade, Owyhee Jasper and Tiger Iron. We also have gemstones that are hand carved and/or polished that are available for making earrings and pendants.
