Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

Overview

The FrankenKnife is a Butch Vallotton prototype with satin finish blade, damascus double bolsters, carbon fiber scales and a damascus button release. Jeweled titanium liners. Notched thumb rest. Super strong and quick release action. The button is a little difficult to push. Has some scratches on the blade and frame. Otherwise good condition. Comes with original box.

Original note from maker about the two FrankenKnives prototypes, this one being #2 (not included with the knife) "Well here they are the "frankenKnives" the main thing about these knives is the Release actions they are the first using this type Sear. It is a modification of my front sear using a button release. Note: "Pain in the Butt." I hope you like them." Signed Butch Vallotton.

About the Maker

Vallotton, Butch

Butch Vallotton is considered one of the finest automatic knifemakers specializing in double action autos and for converting manual folders into automatics. He started making knives full time in 1984, making his first auto in 1987. His assisted knife technology is in current use by Gerber, and he has worked with Spyderco and Microtech designing the very collectible Chameleon Double Action. Butch passed away in 2020.
