Overview
This is the prototype camp knife which features a curly maple handle with intricate curlicues of silver wire inlay's with "branches" motif. There is aproximately 2 1/2 feet of silver wire inlay on the handle. Blade has a double clay tempered line that is visible and also a gentle curve in spine as opposed to other models that have a straight back. Hidden tang construction with 1/4" blade stock and 1 7/8" blade depth.Includes a wood lined sheath that is covered with African Kudu skin and has green velvet inside to help protect the knife when sheathed.
This was the only knife constructed this way that was used for tests and evaluation and can be seen in the "Knives Illustrated" article in December 1997.
