Provenance

Jack Carlson, Rowing Blazers Creative Director: “With our first Seiko collaboration last year, I was bowled over by the enthusiastic reception for our take on the iconic Seiko dive watch both within and beyond the watch community. When Seiko asked us to do another, I was inspired by my own 1970 Seiko 6106-7107 70m Sport Diver, with a bright orange dial. I also really wanted to have both Japanese and English days of the week, and to do something slightly smaller than last time.”

Eric Wind: “I first became aware of this smaller model with a smooth bezel two years ago. We quickly decided that this would be a great platform for the next Rowing Blazers x Seiko 5 Sports watch as we could focus on the dial and hands. We wanted to design a collection that reflected the spirit of Jack’s 6106-7107, using colors that are sporty, fun, and complementary. We kept the now-iconic ‘candy cane’ second hand and ‘Tempus Fugit’ case back from the first Rowing Blazers x Seiko collaboration.”

Comes with original box, tags, and extra strap. Like new condition.

About the Maker

Seiko
Seiko

The story of Seiko began in 1881, when a 21 year old entrepreneur, Kintaro Hattori, opened a shop selling and repairing watches and clocks in central Tokyo. In 1892 Kintaro Hattori bought a disused factory in Tokyo and Seikosha was formed (In Japanese, "Seiko" means "exquisite", "minute" or "success" and "sha" means house). It was here that Kintaro Hattori produced his first clocks and these marked the beginnings of a company that was to become one of the world's most important manufacturers of timepieces.
