Overview
The Tepes is an original design by BW Knives. It came about from a request from one of my customers and is a combination of different parts of a few of my knives.
Tepes is a Romanian word meaning Impaler. It’s not meant in a bad way. I am an avid horror movie fan. The word comes from Vlad Tepes. or Vlad the Impaler, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula. All of my knives’ names are influenced from horror movies.
The Tepes is made from 3/32” Nitro-V steel and is roughly 7” overall. The cutting edge is 3”. The handles are Purple Haze Dymalux. Dymalux is dyed birch wood impregnated with resin. The blade is acid etched with a stonewash finish. This helps to hide the annoying scratches that comes with everyday use. Essentially, it has been pre-scratched. Jimping has also been added to the spine.
The deep carry sheath from Offensive Industries is designed to carry in your pocket and is the perfect replacement for a folding knife. It also features an ambidextrous fit, so regardless if your right or left-handed, it will fit perfectly. The retention clip is from Discreet Carry Concepts. It is made from 10-series steel and when it’s clipped, it’s clipped!!
Considering it’s overall toughness and corrosion resistance from the Nitro-V steel and it’s functional design, in my opinion, makes the Tepes the best all around EDC knife!
Comes with maker's card, sticker and sheath. Excellent condition.
