This linerlock Auto by Jack Davenport has a Damascus blade with false top edge. The handle has engraved stainless steel scales with mammoth ivory inlays, fileworked and anodized titanium liners and backspacer. The inlays have been scrimshawed by what looks like "Susan Danaribart"??? I can't quite make it out. Dated 4-76. Fileworked and anodized titanium screws, stone push button. Nice action and blade seating, the lockup slips if you put pressure on the back of the blade. Has some light scratches, otherwise excellent condition.

About the Maker

Davenport, Jack

Jack Davenport grew up in Dade City, Florida where as a young man, he developed his craft and trade as a gunsmith serving as an apprentice to his late father, Clifford Davenport. Jack later discovered the art of handmade knives and as he passionately immersed himself into knifemaking, his knives quickly became and remain today some of the most sought after and collectible in the world. Davenport Knives have been published in Blade Magazine, Knives Illustrated, Knives Points of Interest and several publications in Japan. Jack's love of nature and the outdoors eventually led him to the studio of world renowned scrimshaw and Franklin Mint artist, Rick Fields. Over the years, their mutual interests and respect for each other's talents developed into a cherished and lasting friendship, which stayed fast until Rick's death. Rick Fields remains Jack's constant inspiration, even today.
