Overview

Based off of my Custom slim EDC Fixed Blade Tanto, this slim and easy to carry Tanto flipper has 3-section Carbon Fiber Inlays on the presentation side and large carbon fiber inlay on the lockside because I’m not a fan of bare backsides on a framelock. That’s too boring. The 6AL4V titanium frame is gently contoured for comfort with a prominent finger choil up front by the blade as well as a mini finger choil at the butt-end for your pinky. The titanium backspacer features a hidden lanyard opening sleekly hidden away and the Titanium pocket clip is the same contoured clip[ from the Caladan which completely eliminates hot spots. The flat-faced pivot is radial machined satin finished and is captive so that it won’t spin if you make pivot adjustments from the other side. The S90v steel blade is in an aggressive compound grind which gives excellent cutting & slicing at the main bevel while providing a strong & supported tanto tip. The unique short top swedge ground only up at the tip end of the blade mimics a special look that I only did on a coupe of custom Scaphoids that I made a few years ago. As usual, Tuya has been able to bring my ideas to life in incredible detail with incredible machining and careful finishing and the smoothest/snappiest action. The Scaphoid is a level up in all areas and pushes Tuya into higher end production, more premium knives.
