PROSPEX 1970 DIVER'S WATCH MODERN RE-INTERPRETATION LIMITED EDITION
1970 Diver's Watch Modern Re-Interpretation Limited Edition. Designed for those who treat life as the ultimate adventure, the Seiko Prospex line meets every challenge with technological excellence and style. Part of a rich legacy of innovation in high-intensity timekeeping, Prospex continues to celebrate a long history of sports watch excellence with re-creations and re-interpretations of landmark achievements. Inspired by the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights, with a subtly gradated dial pattern evoking the changing colors of the night sky, this exceptional limited edition is available only in a controlled-production run of 500, with the serial number engraved on each caseback. Re-interpreting Seiko's renowned 1970 diver's watch, a favorite of such daring adventurers as Naomi Uemura, the first person to reach the North Pole solo, this extraordinary timepiece offers updated technology and a durable stainless steel case and bracelet with super hard coating. The caliber 8L35 26-jewel automatic movement, hand-assembled at Seiko's Shizukuishi watch studio with the increased torque necessary for smooth operation of the enlarged diver's watch hands, beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, with a power reserve of approximately 50 hours, and provides manual winding capability. Following ISO standards for scuba diving to depths of up to 200 meters, this superbly functional watch includes a date calendar, LumiBrite markers and hands for enhanced legibility, a curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface, screwdown crown and caseback, blue uni-directional rotating elapsed timing bezel and tri-fold push button release clasp with secure lock and extender, as well as an additional black silicone strap. Packaged in a Limited Edition collectors' box. 200m Water Resistant
